For PC, Win64, after install, if its not working, find where you installed it, then copy and paste it into: Program Files (X86)/VstPlugins folder and works absolutely amazing in Ableton Live! I can't get either the VST nor AU to be recognizable by ableton. I've run a clean install a few times now and I'm not getting ANYTHING. The Cloud Drum plugin works perfectly well by simply following standard installation, so I am STUMPED as to what I could be doing wrong.
The solution from Stephen (published on 20th Jun. 2022) works for me.
Fixed it. download and install the mac AU, search AGML in ableton. I opened the standalone app first so try that it should be in ur applications
The problem is that the file type when you download it is in .exe but the DAW (Albeton, FL Studio ect...) usually only recognizes .dll files for the VST to work in the DAW

This is a PERFECT guitar plugin. It has all guitar features (hammer on/off, slides, chords with any finger placement, strums up and down, ...). Sadly, their policy for the Lite version is mental. Some of the strings simply don't work for certain finger placements. And that's not a bug: that's the "con" of the Lite version. You get all features, but only half the notes. It's still the best guitar plugin by far, the only good one as far as I'm concerned.
In Garageband under Monterey os it when loading the plugin it says: Error codes: InstDir Read Error; 7; Loading samples failed. Plug-in will not make sound. Please set instrument path in settings if you have moved samples folder to another place. If your instrument path is set correctly set but still have this error, please contact service email. What does this mean? What do I have to do? BR Miguel

Very upset with this installation. After I installed i had to manually search my mac for the files to find 900+ files NONE of which were .vst (which i downloaded). After 2 hours of looking up youtube videos and searching reddit i gave up and dragged the 900+ files into my .vst folder for Logic pro. It worked, BUT I am unable to strum, I guess my installation process was not flawless....so the files I downloaded and sweated over are basically useless. sadge

It's great work. You need download vst for Mac. Install it. Then, before opening Logic, go to the program folder, find Logic, right-click mouse, check the box next to "open with rosette". When you open the logic, you can fined ample guitar on AU Instruments

I opened it with Rosette and it's not there.. Bass guitar is there but not the acoustic one.

When I try to use this the ui acts glitchy and starts doing some kind of rapid blinking in and out thing on random parts of the ui. Then when I try to click on something it freezes and my whole DAW crashes. How do I fix this? Great sound otherwise. Would give it 5 stars if it wasn't for the glitchy UI stuff.

Wich one your folder on the DAW? If you have a folder name is "VST", then you should download VST. If you have "AU" / "Audio" in the DAW's folder, you must download "AU" for your DAW Plugins. Okay, I'll have to revise my previous comment. As someone else here pointed out, the installer seems to dump its executables and samples into the wrong directory. Once I'd moved everything the correct folder it works just fine. And... sounds pretty amazing. It's complicated, you will want to read the manual to use the more advanced features, but it's very worth it!

Like many others here I can't get my DAW to find/recognize the plugin, but I plan to give it another go at some point, see if I can diagnose the issue. (Oddly enough, the Ample P Bass VST installed easily.) And... this MAY just be a coincidence, but shortly after attempting to install this plugin my security software reported finding and deleting a Trojan. Hmmm...

I love this plugin. Worked great on my Hp Envy 360 convertible. Upgraded to an HP Victus i7 with 16gb of ram so plenty of muscle. It shows up in Cubase 12 but when I click on edit instrument in Cubase it does nothing. Have been searching high and low for a fix but no luck. Thought I would try here to see if anyone can help. Thanks in advance!

Did a forum search as the app wasn't working properly, then realised that there is a non-admin fix .exe file in the installer pack. Ran it. Now it works.

Makes me think the installer was designed for Windows and sloppily ported to Unix.

Doesn't work. Could be a good plugin if the programming wasn't defective and preventing it from working. I've uninstalled and reinstalled it multiple times and all I get is an error that reads: "Error codes: InstDir Read Error 7; Loading samples failed. Plug-in will not make sound. This plugin was not showing up in Logic Pro X for me. I had to do the following to fix: 1- Open Terminal. 2- Type in the following and pressing enter after each: a- cd /Library/Audio/Plug-ins/Components. b- sudo chown root:wheel AGML2.* c- Enter your admin password. 3- Reboot. 4- Launch Logic Pro X. 5- Open the Plugin Manager and confirm the "Ample Guitar M II Lite". Plugin is listed.

Have used the free versions, both 32 and 64-bit, in Win 10 for three years. I do not use AGML as a standalone. It works flawlessly as a VSTi in MIDI GUITAR 2 (when I play a Martin Guitar or a Yamaha nylon classical) and as a VSTi for MIDI tracks in PG Music's Realband v2020 (32-bit) and 2022 (64-bit). DSK makes very nice VSTi freeware too, but AGML quality is hard to beat.

Got it to load to Win10 and Reaper 5.99 at the second attempt. First time seemed to get hijacked by my Dropbox backup. Spent less than 5 minutes with it so far but it loaded and played my GP7 tab without a problem. Sounds a little stiff but I figure I can get it to ring out better by experimenting with the params. Good stuff!

It doesn't work on Mac with Ableton. The folders are on the computer, but don't appear on the DAW. There is no manual to troubleshoot this.
I'm not on a Mac, and have never used Ableton... but isn't there a way to change the VST folders? Most DAWs let you choose where to look for plugins...

Looks like the sounds bellow 4th fret of the guitar don't work. If I am not mistaken I have read somewhere the amount of samples given in this version is limited. I didn't know it is so limiting in that kind of sense, Ample Sound should have mentioned this clearly.

Nah, I've got the same thing. If you go to the 'edit' window where you can see all the included samples, every sample above the 3rd fret is missing, so most chords in second or third position don't work. I do think it would be really useful to mention that this is a limitation of the demo version to save people the time of trying to figure out why the higher chords dont work.
I've just noticed this too after playing around with the demo version. It took me a while to figure out it was due to missing samples. It would have been nice to know this before I downloaded it.

How do I use the VST? I have downloaded others from the past and they come in a file with the .dll file to use in LMMS. this file is an 'installer' and I am confused as where to find the .dll file to use!?
You just cut the file, (right-click and then hit cut) make a plugins file in music, then past the file (ctrl + v)

Open the plugin manager within FL studio, on the left side press "add folder" button(it should be a little folder with a+), select the folder where you installed the VST(or just add all your drives lol), then press "Find Plugins" at the top of the plugin manager, it will then appear on the right hand side in the list of plugins, you can then enable it on there and bam you're done

First: find the library. It is most probably located in C:Program FilesAmple SoundAGML Library (if windows). Then click on 'settings' and check if the instrument path is correct. Then try reloading.
If it still fails, move the library to a different location (e.g. another or a new folder in the same environment). Then go to 'settings' and change the instrument path accordingly. Reload. That helped in my case.

It takes a fair amount of time to figure out and I had to patiently watch a few videos on YouTube to help me along. Alas, this free version looks like it's limited to playing only four strings when in strum mode, although still good and very useful. Sounds such as muting and finger noise are attenuated via control knobs.

I found the solution in fl 20, go to your files, search "Samples" one of the archive files will be named "FL STUDIO/ SETTINGS" you need to copy the ample sound files and paste them there. Thats the only thing to do. i hopeit helps you :)

It's an application to install, not a vst libary, more likely with some horse on wheels
It is a VST, but there's also loads of samples that it needs to unpack, which is what the installer is for. It'll ask you where you want to put the VST files during installation.

Pretty poor. When running from inside the DAW, it has an annoying and intrusive pick sound when strumming that can't be properly reduced. Furthermore, the strumming sound is far too aggressive; it doesn't appear to be able to produce a more soft and delicate sound. Okay for single notes though. The download from the manufacturer's website had a trojan in it too that disabled by computer, so I had to do a system restore and deleted the Ample Sound plugin anyway, because it was so bad.
If the pick attack sounds too harsh, turn down the note velocity. Full-velocity notes are meant to trigger a "pop" sound, but you can get some really nice, smooth sounds by dialing it back a bit.

Hey guys I know it can be very hard to find quality free guitar vst but this is the most authentic and smooth FREE acoustic guitar ive downloaded. I make rnb music so this acoustic in studio style is perfect for me. I though DSK Authentic Guitars was the best guitar vst until i got this (DSK Authentic is still an AMAZING plug in) PLEASE DOWNLOAD while this is still up and free. The best out there.

At first it was a bit complex to install, but when I opened it I really loved the sound of this VST. I am really happy with this plugin.
This VST sounds amazing in every way, from the video demo. However, no software has had to be concerned about your current version of MS++ Visual, etc, since WinXP and Win98, so this must be a VERY old version of the plugin. I would love to download it and use it, as I can use Mildon Strummer VST for the strumming engine. However, that "your version of MS+Visual (or whatever it is" issue is a deal breaker. If they fix this problem, please post a comment to let us know.
I really like this Plugin, because it's very different from another Plugin that I ever have. Congratulation for the Personal who make this Plugin.

I can't seem to get this plugin to register notes above the 5th fret.
I think that's because it's the free version. If you want the full fretboard, you need to pay.

I got the error installing the Visual C++ redistributable as well, but it does not stop the completion of the main installation. Not only does this sound great and have a bit of a brain to do hammer-ons and pull-offs on its own, IT DOESN'T CRASH CUBASE like some of the others tend to do
I have that too, and i have fixed the problem by deleting all the Visual C++'s and then re-installed it again, but in need to instal it again because Abelton would not open the vst plugin...

It doesn't work and the explanation is that I have a newer version of Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable in my computer. What the fuck and why does it even matter?
The error is for MSVC++, which is a separate installer; it gives an error because you have a newer version, but the MAIN installer is already done and should work (atleast that's how it went for me)

Very nice acoustic guitar sound. The strumming patterns and all the editing you can do there is very useful and funny. Also, it has the keyboard keys adjusted to the guitar notes, which saves you from inserting them in a range that is not actually covered by a guitar (a problem that I usually have when I make guitar tracks by myself). If you are loking for a simple and decent acoustic guitar sound, I recommend it.

Excellent acoustic guitar plugin. Very useful as is, though it does make me want the full version. Works good with keyboard and with a midi guitar (though string to string midi mapping would improve it}. I like Spicy Guitar but this is better!
