Oh my gawd! :( Power hungry?? In a simple single track operation of this software playing a short / sparse monophonic line, this plugin were topping 60% CPU usage in my 8 year old quad AMD 64 BIT processor, in the latest version of Ableton Live 10 Standard. In comparison - the much more powerful demo Hy-MPS2 running TWO copies of with a mono track each, were toping rarely, 20% CPU. I am definitely purchasing Hy-MPS2 now. I wanted to compare the 2 as they both have the most wanted features for Step Sequencing for me.

A super useful plugin for generating ideas quickly. Personally, I don't find the UI to be as intuitive as I'd like, but not enough to discourage me from exploring it further. Easy to learn without reading the documentation. I shall certainly consider buying the more fully featured paid version.

Using in Cantabile Hi cpu hit. Unusable and a bit mickey mouse. Try sequincair instead.

This is a really handy and fun device for sparking countless ideas/directions that one can use when writing and simply some refresh stuff is needed and also for jamming along with to vary things and keep you on your toes, For example I have hooked it up to my trusty old Alesis SR-16 which I still use for writing riffs and as a solid metronome when practicing playing guitar and bass guitar and had some very useful results, Taken in directions which I wouldn't necessarily go in but again, That is the whole point. I will be trying it with melodic sound sources to see if I am able to attain similar results melody wise and/or chord progression wise but regardless it is worth grabbing for the randomizing rhythmic abilities. YMMV of course, Cheers m/ Dean m/

Crashes reaper immediately when changing bars. Beyond that, it seems not finished...no record, no midi drop... yet they're rocking a paid version of this.

Hi, I'm one of the creators of Harvest. Thanks for checking it out. We recently released update 1.0.3 adding Reaper compatibility along with Cubase and Studio One. Previously we were only compatible with FL Studio and Ableton. If you feel like giving it another shot you can download here: harvestplugin.com/free/

Well, I've watched the video and installed it, but I can't get anything out of it (Reaper). I don't know if the user interface is broken because any time you try to adjust the number of bars from "1" the UI crashes and you have to reload the VST. Manually inputting the notes makes no difference at all. And boy does it love CPU hogging - 100% at times. Shame because the basic idea seems sound.

addenda to my comment above> It works perfectly well, without any CPU or interface issues on VSTHost so there's clearly a problem with this software and Reaper.

Hi, I'm one of the creators of Harvest, thanks for checking us out. We recently released an update adding compatibility for Reaper as well as Studio One and Cubase (previously we were only Ableton and FL Studio compatible, which this page unfortunately failed to mention). Apologizes for the crashes and hogging your CPU. If you want to give it another shot you can download here: harvestplugin.com/free/

Thanks to the developers, I d/led the most recent version which works perfectly in Reaper. It's a lot of fun and quite useful to experiment with, recommended.
